Knowledge and Social Learning Public Event in Berlin
Dr. Louis Lebel's speech is followed attentively by the
audience and the panel (from Right to Left: Professor P.S. Ramakrishnan,
Dr. Otto Lampe Head Protocol and Foreign Affairs, Land Berlin and
Professor Josee van Eijndhoven, Dutch Research Insti-tute for
Transitions (DRIFT). Dr. Lebel is the director of the Unit for Social
and Environmental Research (USER) at the Chiang Mai University,
Thailand.
On Tuesday evening, 21st February 2008, 7.00 pm, a public panel was held
at the Akademie der Künste, in famous Pariser Platz in Berlin. The Panel
discussion, under the same headline as the IHDP Thinkshop itself,
represented the public start of the “Knowledge and Social Learning
initiative” and built a bridge to the 2008 Berlin Conference on the
Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change
