The conference will present the different facets of Global Change and it's consequences for landscapes as it's focal point. Global warming, sinking societal and demographical changes as well as globalization and its effects on our landscapes will also be discussed.

Global change and its effects pose new challenges to our society. Landscape-ecology as in integrative science can help us effectively take on these problems. As a platform for discussion and exchange the IALE D event in Bonn should clear the way for this pursuit.
