January 26-28, 2009, The University of Oslo’s Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM) will be holding a PhD course on “Climate change and social transformation: Reconceptualising the challenges”.

The course is intended for Ph.D. students in the social sciences and humanities and open for participants from every geographical region of the world. It is increasingly recognised that climate change represents an unprecedented global challenge. The course will explore innovative approaches to climate change and societal transformation.

The application deadline is 30th November, 2008.
