The Mountain Research Initiative (MRI), one of IHDP's endorsed research networks, has launched its 2008 Annual Report. With this Annual Report the MRI adapts its reporting period for its members and partner organizations to the period used to report to the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF).

The year 2008 bore the fruits of the new 2007-2010 grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation and the excellent institutional support by the Institute of Geography of the University of Bern.
