Global Change Committee (GCC): a Committee, which is linked to two or more of the Earth System Science Partnership (ESS-P) Global Change Programmes (DIVERSITAS, IHDP, IGBP and WCRP). The Global Committee brings together scientists from all different disciplines of global change research, and from the four international global change programmes, under the umbrella of one national committee. It serves to coordinate national contributions to the four global research programmes by developing leading interdisciplinary, integrative global change research issues of national interest in coherence with and as contribution to the Earth System Science Partnership (ESSP). The Committee acts as the bridge between national and international global change research communities.
