The Commission of Sustainable Development of the SAGW coordinates research in the domain of sustainable development in Switzerland. It has organized a workshop in 2006 concerning the role of the social sciences and humainities in the domain of sustainable development and published a book with the title “Nachhaltigkeitsforschung. Perspektiven der Sozial- und Geisteswissenschaften”, SAGW, 2007. The Commission has 11 members.
