Carole L. Crumley is professor (emerita) at the Department of Anthropology of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in the United States. Additionally, she is visiting professor at the Centre for Biodiversity of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Executive Director of IHDP's joint Integrated History and Future of People on Earth Project (IHOPE) at Uppsala University, both positions in Uppsala, Sweden.
