John Dryzek is Professor of Political Science and Australian Research Council Federation Fellow. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, former Head of the Departments of Political Science at the Universities of Oregon and Melbourne and the Social and Political Theory program at Australian National University, and former editor of the Australian Journal of Political Science. His Federation Fellowship funds work on the deliberative global governance of climate change. Recent books include Foundations and Frontiers of Deliberative Governance (Oxford University Press, 2010), The Oxford Handbook of Climate Change and Society (co-edited with Richard Norgaard and David Schlosberg, 2011), and The Politics of the Earth: Environmental Discourses, 3rd edition (Oxford University Press, 2013). His work ranges from green political philosophy to studies of environmental discourses and movements.
