IHDP Brand Science

Working on innovative themes requires an innovative approach. In human dimensions research, concepts are hard to quantify and compare across space and time. Numerous variables interact to create causal clusters whose elements are hard to separate from one another. To succesfully address these challenges we have developed a balanced project portfolio. At the cutting-edge of social science, their themes reflect the most pressing current issues. Cross-cutting themes enhance the scope of our research. By integrating the knowledge from all projects, we can successfully respond to today's challenges, while keeping our global, long-term scope. IHDP researchers have developed numerous nethodological innovations as well, further integrating new technologies, and complex analyses, in finding robust solutions. In bringing these elements together - a balanced portfolio of projects, cross-cutting themes, and methodological innovations - IHDP has created a distinct brand of science that is able to address the biggest of challenges.
