The roundtable, "Addressing the Social Challenges of Global Change - the Role of Science in the 21st Century", was a platform for representatives of the human dimensions community and its partners to exchange views on the role of the science in effectively meeting the challenges of global change in the current century.
The IHDP Open Meeting 2009, presented a good occasion at which to discuss such pertinent questions in a public debate.
