Face-to-face interaction is the quickest and most effective way to connect people. In aiming to create smooth intersection, IHDP organized two workshops that brought these groups together in person. In these events both groups worked together creating shared language and finding common communication channels to foster a dialogue on global change. By sharing experiences and findings within one event, decision-makers learned to interpret and apply obscure scientific concepts. Concurrently, scientists gained insights into the best formats and styles for communicating their findings.

IHDP Science-Policy Dialogues series provided a platform for this kind of personal interaction. In the future, this series is currently being further tailored and strengthened toward a strong connection between scientists and decision makers as individuals, and communities.
