Meta tags are information inserted into the "head" area of the web pages. They are not visible for the visitor of the page. Instead, they are instructions for web browsers, web servers and search engines on how to interpret the content of the web page.
The Dublin Core Metadata represent a general system for metadata developed and maintained by the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative. The initiative is supported by the W3C Consortium.
